Having conquered the steep grade on Tehachapi's eastern slope, Santa Fe 815 West has got a roll on as she roars through Monolith, CA, at sunset.

A westbound Santa Fe manifest roars through the first reverse curve west of Mojave as it climbs Tehachapi's east side.

Santa Fe 815 East, a heavy manifest, has plenty of power on the head end as it negotiates the curves just west of Mojave.

With the steep, barren flanks of the Tehachapis in the background, 815 West is about to top the grade at Monolith at sunset.
